Data Deletion Request

How to request erasure of your personal data from ChatSathi.

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you have the right to request that ChatSathi permanently delete your personal data. This page explains what data we hold, what will be deleted, and how to submit a request.

1. What Data We Hold

Depending on how you have used ChatSathi, we may hold the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — your name, email address, profile avatar, and hashed password
  • WhatsApp Business data — Phone Number ID, WABA ID, and encrypted access tokens
  • Contact records — names, phone numbers, email addresses, tags, and custom fields you imported or created
  • Message history — conversations and message content sent or received through your connected WhatsApp number
  • Team member data — names and email addresses of invited team members
  • Usage logs — IP addresses, browser metadata, and feature usage events (retained for 90 days)
  • Payment metadata — transaction IDs, amounts, and statuses (raw card details are never stored)

2. What Gets Deleted

A full account deletion request will result in the permanent erasure of:

  • Your account profile and authentication credentials
  • All contact records and associated custom fields
  • All conversation and message history
  • All automations, broadcasts, drip campaigns, and flow configurations
  • Encrypted WhatsApp credentials and API keys
  • All analytics data attributable to your account

Some data may be retained for up to 30 additional days in encrypted backups before it is fully purged. Payment transaction metadata may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable financial regulations, but will be anonymised.

3. How to Submit a Request

To request deletion of your data, send an email to legal@chatsathi.co.in with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

Please include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your ChatSathi account
  • The phone number or account name if you have multiple accounts
  • Whether you want a full account deletion or deletion of specific data categories

We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email with a unique tracking code when the deletion is complete.

4. Facebook-Initiated Deletion Requests

If you connected ChatSathivia Facebook Login and your deletion request was initiated through Facebook's platform, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. You can check the status of that request at:

If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us directly at legal@chatsathi.co.in.

5. Your Other Data Rights

In addition to deletion, you may also request:

  • Access — a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — updates to inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Portability — your data in a machine-readable format (CSV/JSON)
  • Restriction — limiting how we process your data while a dispute is pending
